I am using on iphone and it sends me the code and doesnt work or just wont load or drops out...this of course after I bought a copy

Make sure you are connected to the Internet. If you aren't, it will crash. I'm not sure what you mean by "sends me the code" however.

I have tried the free version. It is very interesting and slightly unnerving. I asked a question for a real dilemma that I have been worried about, and I have been reassured by the diverse and thoughtful replies that I have gotten, which haven't solved my problem, but made me think harder. It is an interesting way to get opinions or just share momentary observations that amuse or interest you.

The ZenJar is wonderful and fun. It gives you advice you need and you can send of. It is my favorite game and I hope you have fun using it!

It's good would be better if you could access previous conversations cause once you hit return even by accident that's it it's gone.

@John - get the full version, it stores your messages for you.

How do you use emoticons with Zen Jar?
    • June 17, 2009 at 5:43 PM
@chnola - you need the iEmoji app. I believe it is $1.99.

How do you save messages and then access them again in the full version? That's why I bought it but I can't see how to do this!

@ Jennifer - tap the jar.

Love the app. However, i can't seem to receive answers of conversations. Composing and receiving no problem. Like there is something (like full cache) holding it back? Thanks

I have a Question, when I compose something how long will it stay in the jar? Suggestion, have a way for me to view my posts and delete those of mine I don't want up. Fantastic, many thanks (I have the full version)

I'm not sure if the karma buttons are working? There's no audible click and the highlight on the buttons just flicks on then off again.

It won't let me reinstall either so I guess I've lost all of my conversations too.. Sucks!

I am a zen jar user. Many of us use this application in a very positive way and are very concerned about the increasing pornographic material and the spam in the forms of lists of names with porn titles after them -- it is clear to us from one of these lists that many uses are as young as 12 and this makes the pornographic content even more offensive -- -is there no monitoring to take down these spam lists and the pornographic content of some of the messages --- it would seem it would be good to have some controls or at the least it must be ensured that all are adults --- we think that porn on this site is a very bad usage of the application and ask for your help in sanctioning users that disrupt in this way. Thank you for your consideration -- it is a very nice application I certainly hope with the addition of pictures that you do provide this control or it will turn into a real sewer.

@ Sparrow - if you have the full version, leave bad karma. Users get banned if their karma gets too low. PhotoZen also has a karma system, as well as a flagging system so people can flag inappropriate images.

Hi guys...there seriously needs to be a warning at the very start of the Zen Jar requiring the user to confirm that some topics may be offensive and/or unsuitable for children. Regretfully, some users of this app are using it to broadcast sexually explicit content. Just a suggestion.

Agree with the comments re adult content. Worries me somewhat, as some zenners are using the app to meet people- and I would hate harm to come to a child through use of this app, because I really enjoy it!!

Remember when you send bad karma you receive bad karma back. I will never send someone bad karma or be offended by what another person says. That is the way of freedom. I understand that spam is a pain but to have a truethful Zen you must accept everything. If you ban someone for there thought on colors, churchs, beliefs, or sex. Then you have offend me by not allowing me to express my thought. I find it very offencive to say I love you, those words to me would only be said to the person or persons I truely love. With this I say if you are going to ban people because of there random thought and one person deems a naked body as porn another person see it as art. Then this Zen Jar should have the word Zen in it. This should be called what it realy is. (Approval From Me Jar!) Bad Karma will come back 10 fold to you. I wish you all only the Best Karma. There is enough bad out in this world we don't need more. GOOD KARMA TO ALL from me to you. :)

I love Zenjar!! Can I suggest it would be good to have some way of identifying each strand in my jar, so that it is easier to look back through them? Maybe put a datestamp for the first response or number each strand? I have loads of strands / conversations on the go (ace!!) but it can be hard to find the one I want to look back on in my jar... Excellent app, thank you

Could you add an enhancement? A way to flag offensive messages? There are some uplifting messages there and for the most part a great community of users but there are a few bad seeds that post offensive messages.

It constantly crashes every minute or less. There's nothing wrong with my iPhone. It's a 3G with all the latest updates. I'm connected via 3g. Also, regarding some else's previous comment about only seeing code.. when I first visited this page here, it initially showed all the webpage code. Right, having said all that, I think your app is a great idea and I'm having lots of fun with it. I have the full version. If you can sort this bug then I will most certainly begin recommending it to everyone everywhere.

If you have the lite version, then upgrade to the full version, does that mean that people who wrote to you while on the lite version will have their messages lost to you? I'm supposing that the app uses a form of identification to allow the server to route messages to the correct device, I'm wondering if that ID changes when you upgrade to the full version.
